Business Cards: Cards of Vital Importance

Business cards, without any doubt can be termed as the single most important entity for any business man. It contains such information like the name, address, contact number, e-mail ID and the post that a man holds, as well as where his organization is located and the product it churns out. It would also be interesting to know that business cards came into existence in the 15th century in China, where its use was confined to the people belonging to the upper strata of the society. This practice was, in course of time, picked up by others as well.

In Europe, the 17th century marked its arrival and England is the country, which holds the honor of being the first country in Europe where business cards were used for the first time. Strangely, it was the merchant community that held the distinction of using it for the first time. The cards were also unique, for they had maps of the route to the shops engraved on them. In some cases, they also included the names of the products sold by a merchant.

Today, business cards have undergone a complete transformation and are available in different coolers, sizes and price range. It gives people a whole lot of option to choose from.
